Privacy Policy
Kleaning Office & House Pty Ltd (ABN 87 620 066 917), trading as Kleaning (previously trading as Kleaning Office & Home), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information through our website at kleaning.com.au and in the course of providing our cleaning services.
This policy is written to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. Who We Are
In this policy, "Kleaning", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Kleaning Office & House Pty Ltd (ABN 87 620 066 917), an Australian proprietary limited company operating cleaning services across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
We operate under the trading name Kleaning. Prior to our 2026 rebrand, we operated as Kleaning Office & Home. This is the name under which our Quality Business Awards (2023, 2024, 2025) are listed. The business, the ABN, the team and the operation are the same.
2. What Personal Information We Collect
When you submit a quote request
Through our quote request form, we collect: your name, email address, phone number, suburb or location, preferred contact method, information about the property or workplace you're requesting cleaning for, any additional message or context you provide, and your consent preferences.
We also automatically capture: IP address (for security and rate limiting only), browser type and timestamp, the page you submitted from, the referrer, Google Ads click identifiers if you arrived from a Google Ads campaign, UTM parameters if present, and a unique conversion event ID for internal tracking.
When you become a client
If you proceed to become a client, we collect: service agreement details, property access information, specific cleaning preferences, allergies or workplace requirements, billing and payment information, and communication records relating to your service.
When you contact us directly
If you reach us via email, phone, WhatsApp or any other channel, we collect the information you choose to share in that communication.
When you visit our website
When you browse our website, we automatically collect: pages viewed and time spent, approximate geographic location (city/region level), device type, browser and operating system, referring website or search query, and interactions with the site. This information is collected through cookies and analytics tools, see Section 6 below.
3. How We Use Your Personal Information
- Responding to quote requests and preparing quotes
- Delivering cleaning services: coordinating cleaners, managing access, communicating about visits
- Communicating with you about your enquiry, bookings or our services
- Billing and accounting
- Improving our services
- Marketing, only if you've opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time

- Security and fraud prevention
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Marketing Communications
If you opt in to marketing communications through our quote request form, we may send you occasional updates about our services and offers. Your consent is opt-in only, we will never pre-tick the marketing consent box. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also opt out at any time by emailing info@kleaning.com.au.
This complies with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
5. How Long We Keep Your Information
- Quote requests that don't proceed to service: up to 24 months after submission
- Active client records: for the duration of our service relationship
- Past client records: 7 years to meet ATO record-keeping requirements
- Marketing consent records: while subscription is active plus a reasonable period after unsubscribe
- Website analytics data: in line with Google Analytics standard retention (currently 14 months)
6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to function correctly, analyse traffic, and measure the performance of our marketing.
- Necessary cookies: essential for the website to work. Always on, cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4 (
_ga,_ga_*). - Advertising cookies: Google Ads (
_gcl_*).
When you first visit our site, you'll see a consent banner allowing you to accept or reject analytics and advertising cookies. Until you accept, we operate under Google's Consent Mode v2.
We use a short-lived browser flag (kleaning_quote_submitted) to confirm successful
quote submissions and prevent duplicate tracking events. This is not a cookie and contains no
personal information.
7. Who We Share Your Information With
- Cloudflare (US): website hosting, content delivery, security, rate limiting, bot protection
- Resend (US): email delivery for notifications and auto-replies
- Google LLC (US): Google Workspace, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads
- GitHub (US): code repository hosting (no client data passes through GitHub)
- Breezeway (US): operational workflow software for STR cleaning turnovers
Several of our service providers are located in the United States. When we use these providers, personal information may be transferred to and stored in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We do not sell your personal information.
8. How We Store and Secure Your Information
We store personal information in systems operated by the service providers listed above, using industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, multi-factor authentication on admin systems, and rate limiting and bot protection on web forms.
Personal information shared with Google Ads as part of Enhanced Conversions is hashed using SHA-256 before transmission. Raw email or phone numbers are never sent to Google's servers in identifiable form.
If a data breach affects your personal information in a way that's likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
9. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that's inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading
- Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal record-keeping obligations)
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
- Make a complaint about how we've handled your personal information
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe, usually within 30 days.

11. Children's Information
Our services and website are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us at info@kleaning.com.au and we'll remove it promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was most recently revised. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on our website for a reasonable period.
Continued use of our services or website after a Privacy Policy update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
